Gadgets, General

When we were looking for a web designer, I had in my mind certain criteria had to be met.

Firstly I wanted the web site we required to promote Golf in the Costa Blanca to be user friendly for our golfers. It also needed to be interesting, as many of the internet golf websites we came across didn’t really do anything but redirect you to other websites. I understand what they are all about with affilated marketing but so many of them just did not provide the information we believe a golfer looks for and I found that frustrating.

Telling our visitors about the courses, what to look out for, what it would cost them, any special promotions, real life stories about golfers’ experiences with our company, we think makes us a little more unique in this field.

I must say we set ourselves a set of tough goals and here is the advertising part we found The Webshop after reading about them and speaking to Steve, he agreed to design the website for us. He could not have been more helpful or professional and I must say I believe the end result speaks for itself.

As someone who likes to control the website contents and update information after  a few training sessions with Lee, it has become easier to keep the website current and live in real time. I have added course information, special offers, golf news as well as having the ability to send out newsletters at a touch of a button to all our subscribers.

Feedback from Scotland came from someone who deals with websites all the time was:

Excellent: just what a website should be informative, and full of client interaction!! Well done…

  1. It is MUCH more professional: the company seems bigger, better and more upmarket.
  2. The information is easy to find.
  3. The testimonials, client pictures and blogs will be a huge success, and bring in a lot more business for you
  4. It is very easy to navigate and use.
  5. There is room for tying up with other companies for external links…
  6. The newsletter is a fantastic way to keep in touch and to remind customers that  they should come back to explore more (or send friends and family over).
  7. It is very personable and easy to relate to.
  8. Golfers will love it… I like all the “little” touches like weather, currency converter etc.

Since we launched the website we have now linked to a few other websites both in Spain and Scotland and any constructive feedback we receive about our website will be taken on board and used to improve what we have.

So if anyone who is reading this is looking for website designers please speak to the The Webshop. With Steve and Lee you won’t be disappointed.
