Some of the tees shots had to be exact as the fairways were narrow. Go off line and you were amongst the Cacti which have a habit of causing some nasty injuries!(please see photo of walking wounded - Holywell Golf Club April 09 ) Apart from that I enjoyed this course on a very hot day. Front nine was quite barren looking with very tight fairways and little scope for wayward shots , still we were always able to retrieve any misplaced balls so the scoring was very good and we were getting a little bit complacent and thinking the course was quite easy. The back nine certainly changed our opinions very quickly.Every hole was like a landscaped garden with roman walls , palm trees , rockeries, fountains and water features lining each fairway from start to finnish. You need to get the thinking cap on and the concentration on high alert to avert all the stunning well placed hazards.beautiful course and highly recommended to all visiting golfers , one of the most stunning courses in the area.cheers, george,mo,jimmy - George McKeen Sun, 22 Mar 2009 14:41:44 +0100
