It's Christmas!
===============
We have just said "hasta pronto" to the last of our golfing
parties for this year. Fortunately they enjoyed several warm and
sunny days playing golf. The Christmas office parties have
started and its quite surreal to see Christmas decorations and
hear Christmas tunes by Slade and Wizard on the radio when it's
hot outside.

The local bikers got together again this year and dressed up as
Santas and drove through Torrevieja and raised money for charity
- it was quite a sight.

Steven and a few friends went to play at Vistabella to enjoy a
St Andrews day match. It was a Texas Scamble with George and
Steven coming second with a gross score of 42 for the eleven
holes. They received their trophy then finshed the day off with
Stovies, a few drams. It was truly a Scottish Fayre at
"The Inn at the Green" run by John Smith.

Golfing season 2010
===================
Enquiries and bookings for 2010 have already started and some of
our parties have been a little disappointed not to be able to get
the tee times they would have preferred this early in the booking
 process. The indication is that next year there will be
increasingly more golfers heading to our beautiful courses to
enjoy reasonably priced golf under blue skies.

If you have asked for a quote and are ready to book it is never
too early! Please do not miss out by delaying. A number of dates
are already filling up for accommodation and transfers.

Remember: If you get a quote elsewhere,please give us a chance to
 match or beat the quote as "you can trust us to deliver"- just
check out our feedback from our previous clients.

New Openings
============
We are glad to inform you that Calidona's new golf course,
Corvera Golf Club, will open on 18th January 2010. The course is
operated by the same company as Roda Golf Resort, a firm
favourite of our golfers.

The resort features a PGA affliated championship 18 hole golf
course designed by Spanish golfer José Maria Olazabal and will be
a par 72 set within 70 hectares suitable for hosting
international competitions. The Director of Golf is Sam Torrance.

There will also be a PGA golf academy on Corvera offering the
opportunity for residents to learn or improve their game.

Situated in a stunning location at the edge of the Sierra de
Carrascoy mountains, a protected National Park, the development
consists of luxury apartments and villas located near to the town
of Corvera, just 30 minutes from the Mar Menor and Mazarron and
only 20 minutes from the fascinating city of Murcia. Murcia (San
Javier) airport is 30 minutes away whilst Alicante airport is 50
minutes away.

Polaris World
=============
Jardines de Alhama Golf Resort opens 21 December 2009.

Polaris World opted for the best player in the world,
Jack Nicklaus, the Big Bear, to design their golf courses and
they are currently building nine golf courses in Murcia, on the
Costa Cálida.

The Jack Nicklaus Golf Trail at Polaris World is the networking
of these nine golf courses, unique in Europe, giving the
possibility for property owners to play on all the golf courses
that make up the circuit.

Condado de Alhama will incorporate three Jack Nicklaus Signature
golf courses - two Bear's Best and the Principal Golf Courses.

Thanks to his experience and knowledge in designing and
supervising golf courses he has paid special attention to the
natural landscape of the area and created a real challenge for
golf lovers.
