Ryanair slash flights to Alicante
================================
Ryanair are continuing their growth and domination of the budget airline market, having announced an 8% increase in passenger number in March of this year, with a staggering 73.5 million seats sold so far this year.
They have also announced that despite the actions of other travel companies, and despite their reputation for charging for any sundry item or service that they can, they will not put a fuel surcharge on any of their flights ever.
More recent announcements have also included a surcharge to enable them to cover damages payable to passengers who are delayed, and the option to travel on child free aircraft from the winter, based on public opinion.
Despite the growth in loyalty and traffic,  Ryanair have now announced that they are planning to slash their base in Alicante by a staggering 80%, as a result of the new terminal wanting them to use covered walkways that connect directly from the terminal building to the aircraft, so called “airbridges”, which will increase the cost to the airline by some 2 million euro per year. British Links to Augusta National
=================================
At first sight the sun bleached links fairways of Sandwich and the lush green trees,shrubs that enclose most of the holes at Augusta National appear to be at opposite ends of the golfing spectrum,yet both are largely similar in one area the lightning pace of the greens.

In the Open Championship at Sandwich,the whole course tends to be dry, hard and very fast.
In the Masters the heavily contoured greens are like lightning to putt on. Both courses demand positional play from the tee in order to get the best angle into the greens so you can leave the ball on the bottom side of the hole.
Royal St George’s cannot be overpowered by long hitting alone,unless the tee shots are placed with precision, even doing so it is often impossible to get the ball close to the hole even with a lob wedge. Read on...............

The 140th British Open Golf 2011,will take place at Royal St. Georges, July 14-17, Kent, England.

High season deals
=================
We are in High season here in the Costa Blanca and the courses encourage golfers to play later in the day. So they offer the best deals after 2 or 3pm in the afternoon.
This means anyone who wishes to save some euros for a wee beer afterwards can enjoy a game of golf too.
Normally for example Las Colinas green fee is 80€ at this time of year but after 3pm 2 GF & Buggy from us only 94€! excellent value for this terrific course.
Roda recently also announced that after 3pm they would offer green fee a small beer and a pull trolley for 30€!
However there have been some really good offers from Polaris World for all day for 2 Green Fees & Buggy for 92€ at El Valle and Hacienda Riquelme. Many of our golfers have taken advantage of this offer.

Green jacket for charl
=======================
The whoops and cheers reverberated around Tiger Woods and the groans and sighs followed Rory McIlroy, Charl Schwartzel slipped almost unnoticed into contention at Augusta.
By the time he pulled on the green jacket, however, the 26-year-old from Johannesburg was most definitely the centre of attention, coming to terms with the title of US Masters champion and the fact that life will never be the same again.

He's a 26-year-old South African, born in Johannesburg.
He turned professional aged 18, and is ranked No 25 in the world.
Before last year, he had never finished higher than 22nd in a major. He was 14th in last year’s Open Championship.
This was only his second Masters — he finished 30th last year.
He has won six European Tour titles and five Sunshine Tour titles.

Easter in spain
================
 It's the biggest holiday on the spanish calendar and a fun time to be in Spain. Parades and processions take place in every town in the country all during Semana Santa or holy week. Torrevieja's parades are bright, colourful, child friendly affairs and highly recommended especially if you have not been before. Get on one of those Ryanair flights to Alicante or Murcia,and come and take part in this great holiday spirit. Check out the local information regarding fiestas here

See you next month!
