Update 11/07/20-We have had a few emails from our golfers asking how things are in Spain . Bars, Restaurants, golf courses, shops, beaches etc are open but with certain restrictions. The main thing is to carry a mask with you at all times, if you need to go into the shops, you must wear a mask and sanatise your hands. You do not need to wear a mask while having a meal or drink but if you do need to go inside to the toilets you must wear a mask and re sanatise your hand. The staff all wear masks for your and their protection. Its an easy rule to follow if you don't you can be fined. Some great news for our:-Spain will open its borders to members of the EU’s Schengen Zone and the UK on June 21. The border was originally due to remain closed until July 1. Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced the decision today during a conference call with regional leaders, as reported by Spanish newspaper El Pais. The Portuguese border will remain shut until July 1 on the request of Portuguese PM Antonio Costa. Travellers from other, non-Schengen countries will be allowed into the country without the need to self-quarantine from July 1 onwards, if there is a reciprocal agreement on travel. After recording its first cases of Covid-19, Spain introduced one if Europe’s strictest lockdowns. Borders were closed on March 14 and a ‘state of alarm’ has restricted Spanish citizens from moving freely throughout the country – something that will also end on June 21. -Quara Group update :-As you are aware Villamartin Golf Course opened last week.Currently they have an average number of players everyday (100 - 130), of course this is due to the amount of members from our 3 golf courses that are enjoying Villamartin, as Las Ramblas and La Finca are still not opened. Las Ramblas and La Finca are still processing maintenance jobs, especially at La Finca where we are developing dramatic changes that are going to improve the quality of the experience. Villamartin has reopened in the best conditions ever remembered since 1991. This 2 months of closure and the weather conditions of the spring has affected so much in benefit of the golfing experience. Add to this that bunkers has been renewed and that the over crowding on the course that we use to suffer in high season is not at all now. So the golf experience is so good in layout of 50 years of history on trees and shape in general.
